The Hansson family

Hotel Terraza is today owned by four brothers and sisters of the Hansson family: Pär, Ola, Frida and Linda. In 2008 they took over from their parents Pia and Rolf, who had been running the hotel since 1993. One could say that the current owners have more or less grown up here! They learned at an early age where the best hiding places were, who of the serving staff gave them most icecream and how much time passed before help arrived after pushing the emergency button in the elevator. Today, they spend their time on other things.

You will often meet father Rolf or the oldest son Pär in the reception. Pär is three minutes older than twin brother Ola, who quickly became responsible for the financial side of the business.

Frida usually takes charge of the breakfast arrangements, but she is currently studying. Linda is responsible for washing and cleaning as well as other bits and pieces. And she is making sure there will be a next generation of Hanssons to take over after them.

Mother Pia spends most time in the office nowadays, where she works with finances and admin, if she is not taking care of one of the younger grandchildren. Lovis likes to help her grandmother in the office and Theo’s favourite item at the breakfast buffet is bacon. And we are all happy, so long as they are too small to reach the emergency button in the elevator…

Running this type of business really suits the Hanssons. Apart from the hotel, they also own a few restaurants, a private secondary school and a clothes shop. And during the summer, they organise city festivals in both Ljungby and Värnamo. They run a number of their businesses together with their partner Stefan Angeskog.
